Remoter is ready now if you want to download it from a developer’s forum ( xda-developers.com ) instead of waiting for it to get uploaded to the Android market.
The Remoter app is created with the user being able to change the design of the Android home screen. There is an Android app that Remoter is designed to work with that will put that coveted music connection on your home screen for you. It is called LauncherPro ( launcherpro.com ).
However, this article is not about LauncherPro. Put it together with the Remoter app and you will be able to access your Android music tracks with one touch.
It is not the only app that allows you to do this, but it is considered the best. LauncherPro gives you the option of having as many home screens as you want.
Load up the aforementioned LauncherPro on your Android from the web. Then check out your memory space on your MicroSD card. It should have enough room for the Remoter file. It is 30.3 kilobytes in size. Remoter comes in a package that, when opened, has more than one file. Once you get it on your card, you can upload it to your Android smartphone. If you do not know how to do this, use a file manager like Astro to help you move it.
This is to be used with the default Android music player. It will not work with an Android installation that is not purely Android. One of the smartphones it will not work with is a Samsung Vibrant. This is because Samsung uses their own music player. The developer promises to cover custom music players, but there is no time frame to get the job completed.

If you download this you will no longer need to shut down a widget to save battery time.

The name Remoter could be a temporary one, according to the developer; “Rock_Harder”. There is no word yet on if the price will go up once this app hits the android market.
