People are venting their anger out on the iPhone after seeing this new handset. It has no screen, no “pinch to zoom”, and ( gasp ! ) no social media. John’s Phone is a phone, no more and no less. It is great for those who just want to talk. That is what a phone is for, more or less. When it comes to this phone, less is a good thing.
It is also visible at night thanks to the bright white setup. The green call button has a graphic of a person with their mouth open. The end call button has a graphic of a person with their mouth closed. Three small holes make up the ear piece and one hole for the microphone. That is it !
The looks of the John’s Phone is one of pure simplicity. It is white with twelve large buttons and large numbers for easy use by the elderly.
The John’s Phone has a sort of modern look to it that puts it into a surrealistic category. It is minimalistic and yet has flair. It is simple but can not make a text message. The flair department is covered with the colors you can get this phone in. There are five; green, black, brown, pink and white. If you can not deal with not having a screen, the John’s Phone has a super small display on the very top of the phone. It shows phone numbers.
The John’s Phone also comes with its own pen and address book. The pen is a nice touch and helps a user to always have it with them if they need to write down a number. The back of the phone opens up to hold the list of written phone numbers. On the left side is the large volume button, the SIM card holder and two other buttons. They control the power and the ringer. The size of the phone is 10.5 centimeters tall by six centimeters wide by 1.5 centimeters thick. For those of you reading in the United States that is 4.13 inches tall by 2.36 inches wide by .59 inch thick. This will fit into a pocket without problems. The battery gives three weeks of standby time.
Some people jokingly say this is one step up from using two cans and a string. The John’s Phone is a SIMlock free phone. This means you can use whatever SIM card you have on hand with this phone. There is nothing to tie the user down to one cell network. With the world getting more complicated, it is nice to see something that just lets you do things in simplicity again.
